Dr Legin Hotham, BDS
Principal Dentist
Practising since 2019, Dr Legin brings his expertise, experience and a genuine passion for patient care to Nundah General & Emergency Dental. Having recently relocated from New Zealand, where he practised and honed his skills, Dr Legin is excited to serve the Nundah community with the same dedication and artistry he's brought to dentistry throughout his career.
Education and Experience
Dr Legin earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the prestigious University of Otago in New Zealand, one of the region's leading dental schools. His passion for medicine initially drew him to the dental field, where he discovered that dentistry is truly an art form, one that allows him to be an artist while helping people.
What Dr Legin loves most about his work is connecting with his patients. He views each patient interaction as an opportunity to create something special, combining clinical expertise with genuine care and a touch of humour. Those who know Dr Legin appreciate his ability to lighten the mood and make dental visits more comfortable—yes, he does joke as well!
Beyond the Practice
When he's not in the surgery, you'll likely find Dr Legin on the rugby field playing touch rugby with friends, as sport has always been an important part of his life.
Adrian Chavez
Practice Manager
Adrian has worked in dentistry since 2017 and brings a caring, friendly approach to his role as Practice Manager. Originally from Colombia, he holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and is currently working towards having his qualifications recognised in Australia.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Adrian plays a key role in supporting patients and the day-to-day running of the practice. He loves getting to know patients and believes that helping people care for their teeth allows them to feel proud of their smile and happier overall.
Outside of work, Adrian enjoys travelling, hiking, cooking, listening to music, and dancing. A fun fact many people don’t know is that he previously volunteered his dental skills in remote Colombian communities, often travelling by helicopter to provide care.
